Product detailed description

The Rabbit Guide: gentleness and the strength of a new beginning

A rabbit may appear delicate, but in the wild it survives through speed, alertness and its ability to react in an instant. Its sensitivity is not a weakness — it is what helps it recognise danger early and move quickly when needed.

In the Guides Collection, the rabbit represents agility, awareness and the ability to begin again. In traditional symbolism, it is also associated with fertility, life and renewal — with those moments when something new is just beginning to grow.

Natural Baltic amber brings warmth and softness to the earrings, while the sterling silver rabbit gives them a light, playful character. Every piece of amber has its own colour, pattern and natural details, so no two pairs are ever exactly alike.

The Rabbit Guide can be a personal reminder for times when you need to stay alert, respond quickly or simply find the courage to make a fresh start.

The Rabbit truth:
Gentleness does not exclude speed, courage or the ability to begin again.

Packaging
We know that the joy of jewellery begins with the unboxing experience. Each jewel is carefully packed in an elegant jewellery box that highlights the atmosphere of a special moment. When you open the box, you will have the feeling that you’ve treated yourself to something truly special. If you wish to gift the jewel, you do not have to worry about the gift wraping – the jewelery will be ready to share love and joy.

What is amber

Baltic amber, also called succinite, comes from various species of the now extinct conifer Pinus succinifera. There are estimated to be up to around 350 species of conifer. Baltic amber has the highest proportion of succinic acid of all the species. It accounts for up to 8 % of its total weight.

The richest deposits are estimated to be in the Kaliningrad region, as well as in northern Poland, Lithuania and along the Baltic coast. Its age is estimated at approximately 28 to 54 million years. It is older than the Baltic Sea itself.

Baltic amber tends to be transparent, semi-transparent or completely opaque under a yellow-brown layer of oxidised crust, called milky. It offers a wide range of colours, from snow-white to beige, lemon yellow, honey, orange, red and brown. The Polish scientist Adam Chetnik, in his Little Dictionary of Amber Varieties, defined around 200 variations.

How to Care for Amber Jewellery

1. Clean your jewellery regularly.
The best way is to wipe it with a cloth made of 100% cotton or classic denim. Amber can be cleaned dry or with a cloth dipped in lukewarm water. If necessary, you can use a little mild soap or detergent. However, make sure to rinse and dry the amber thoroughly with a cotton cloth afterwards.

Do not use microfibre or any polishing cloths made from man-made fibres. Never use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners or chemicals for cleaning. If you need to clean the silver part of the jewellery, use a cloth designed for cleaning silver, but avoid amber parts.

Keep jewellery carefully stored
Ideally, amber jewellery should be stored in a cotton or silk bag after removal. This will protect it from scratches. We do not recommend leaving amber jewellery with other jewellery, especially with sharp metal edges, as this increases the risk of scratching and damaging the surface.
