The necklace is made of milky Baltic amber. If you like to wear dark blouses or sweaters, the pattern of the amber beads will stand out even more. The plastic clasp blends nicely with the amber beads. It fastens with a screw, making it very secure.

Amber has long been attributed with beneficial health effects. This makes perfect sense. After all, amber is the fossilized resin of prehistoric trees, and resin has always functioned—and continues to function—as a healing sap. Amber tincture strengthens the body’s immune system, helps alleviate symptoms of colds, fevers, and muscle and joint pain. In traditional Chinese medicine, amber was added to certain decoctions for soothing purposes. And our little ones—infants and toddlers—wear amber necklaces or bracelets to help alleviate pain and reduce swelling during teething.
